The Macau Poker Cup is the premier regional poker championship in Asia. Held every two months, the next Macau Poker Cup will run from October 24-26, 2008. The next Macau Cup will be held December 12-14.

China Earthquake Appeal
In the wake of the devastating earthquake in Western China in May 2008, PokerStars Macau players helped to raise HKD $166,670 for the Red Cross. Live poker tournaments were held as part of the first ever Macau Cup, with players being encouraged to give as generously as they could. The entry fee in other Macau Cup tournaments was also donated to the fund, and PokerStars players were also able to donate money using their online accounts, helping to add another HKD $946,403 to the fund. This was then matched by PokerStars, bringing the final total raised to HKD $2,226,146.
