Bryan Huang Diwei

Lives: Singapore/Macau
Age: 24
Born in Singapore, Bryan Huang discovered poker at the age of 20. He realised that Poker enabled him to travel the world, pay for his education and could help him with his family’s house mortgage and car loans. Upon graduating at the age of 23 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, he turned down conventional job offers and decided to turn professional.
Bryan started playing online poker in 2005 where deposit bonuses caught his attention. He managed to turn his small deposits into thousands of dollars, week in, week out, as well as qualifying for a Caribbean Poker Cruise package.
In addition to running deep in the Main Event, he also won the USD$1100 NLHE side event for a cool USD$80,000 in prize money, besting some of UK’s best players like David “Devilfish” Ulliot on the final table. This welcomed bankroll injection paid for his regular travels to Australia, Europe and Las Vegas during his college holidays to play poker.
During his final semester holidays, Bryan made a stunning debut at the 2008 APPT season by cashing in three out of five tournaments - Macau, Seoul and Auckland. He was also named “Rookie of the year” by Bluff Australasia (Dec 2008) and was featured on the cover of Poker Asia Times Magazine.
Bryan has made final tables in poker tournaments all over the world such as Spain, Macau, Philippines, Australia, Caribbean, and Russia.
Already one of the highest earning Singaporean poker players of all time, Bryan Huang will be looking to take down his first major title at the biggest events around the world. He is a member of PokerStars Team Asia Pro and plays exclusively online on PokerStars using the screen name ‘Brasstal’ and can be seen regularly playing cash games and live tournaments at the PokerStars Macau tables.
