PokerStars, the world’s largest poker company, opened its “PokerStars Macau at the Casino Grand Lisboa” live poker room at the beautiful Casino Grand Lisboa on March 19, 2009. Located on the 2nd floor of the famous Grand Lisboa in the heart of Macau, PokerStars Macau is the largest poker room in continental Asia with 33 tables for exciting Texas Hold’em poker tournament action and 24-hour cash games.

PokerStars Macau at the Grand Lisboa hosts the largest regular weekly poker tournaments in Asia, the premiere “Macau Poker Cup” series, and the annual Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau Poker Festival.

The design of the building is based on a bright yellow lotus leaf which and houses over eight floors of entertainment. The casino and restaurants are based inside of the podium of the building while the “lotus leaf” section houses 650 hotel rooms and the building is one of the tallest buildings in Macau. If you are travelling from within Asia several airlines fly direct to Macau International Airport:

• AirAsia has multiple flights daily from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru
• Cebu Pacific Air has daily flights from Manila.
• Tiger Airways has daily flights from Singapore and Clark Airbase, two hours north of Manila
• Viva Macau has flights from Jakarta, Male, Pusan and Tokyo

From the Macau Airport / Ferry Terminal:

Taxis: Licensed taxis in Macau are black or yellow in colour. The taxi ride from the airport or Macau Ferry Terminal is approximately 15 and 7 minutes. respectively.

Shuttle: Complementary Grand Lisboa Shuttles are available from the Macau Ferry Terminal every 15 minutes.

Bus: Bus AP1 runs between the airport and the Barrier Gate. Its route passes through several points on Taipa Island, then Macau Tower, Hotel Lisboa, the Macau Art Museum, the Sands and the Ferry Terminal on the way. It costs MOP3.30.
